Same Day Crowns

Same day crown technology plays an important role in our practice. This amazing development in chair side dentistry offers us the tools to create, produce, and set crowns, inlays and onlays in a single visit.

The Same Day Crown Difference

The conventional approach to a crown or inlay and onlay typically needed a return visit after the client waited (with a short-term restoration in the tooth) for about 2 weeks while the restoration was produced in a separate lab. Same day crown CAD/CAM innovation removes the wait!

How Do Same Day Crowns Work?

Same day crowns utilize a special camera to take an accurate picture of the damaged tooth. This optical impression is moved and shown on a color computer screen, where the dental practitioner uses CAD (computer-aided design) software to create the restoration.

Then CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) takes control of and immediately mills the restoration while the patient waits. Finally, the new restoration is bonded in place.

The entire process takes about one hour, and there are no irritating temporaries or 2nd visit needed!

Proven Technology

With twenty years of clinical research study and more than 20 million restorations carried out worldwide, same day crowns have shown to be a an efficient, safe and hassle-free technology that we are delighted to offer to our clients.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. Today's Discussion Is About:

Porcelain Tooth Veneers

Veneers are a very thin pieces of long lasting, tooth shaped, porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a gorgeous and appealing smile.

Veneers can completely improve your teeth and smile. They can commonly be alternatives to crowns and the perfect option in treating many cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Similar to many dental restorations, veneers might someday need replacement; however, they are still really durable and will last many years, providing you a long lasting, beautiful smile.

How Are Veneers Applied?

Veneers are a dental procedure where a covering is put over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are usually only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. The treatment can be direct or indirect.

The direct method normally involves putting composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This approach is usually referred to as bonding.

The indirect strategy typically involves 2 visits because the veneers will be fabricated at a dental lab. At the very first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are given a short-term covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory fabricated veneers are typically made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very esthetic.

The benefit of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the treatment is normally less uncomfortable. Veneers are not advised for teeth that have big fillings or little tooth structure.

You will get care instructions for your veneers. Correct brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will aid in the life of your brand-new and gorgeous veneers.
