Same Day Dental Crowns - A Smart Technology

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are occurring in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown technology in our office. It permits us to create crowns and bigger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most sophisticated dental innovation, including 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM technology. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The entire procedure takes between 1-2 hours and can be finished in one sitting.

Typically, a crown in the past would have required 2 appointments. The first visit consists of preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a temporary crown. During the second visit, the short-term crown is replaced with the permanent one. With a same day crown, the whole treatment can be finished in just one appointment. We will use video imaging technology to take a photo of the tooth and use CAD/CAM technology to design the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly transmitted to a milling machine that carves the restoration from a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the brand-new crown to your tooth. This eliminates the need to wear a short-term along with a second appointment.

Restorative dentistry procedures can be very important to the general health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a consultation.

Today's Subject Will Be:

Dentures (Dental)

There are different types of dentures, however they share their common function. They replace teeth that have actually become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is big enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk regularly.

The whole mouth is examined and a decision is made about which teeth will need to be removed, and which will remain. The loose teeth are then removed. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth stay in the mouth, depending upon the type. There is an adjustment time after dentures are placed in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. Once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular functionality and look return and one just continues as usual. Often implants can be utilized to further stabilize the dentures.

It is necessary to keep in mind that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a major lifestyle change when compared to natural teeth. Dentures affect the kind of food you have the ability to eat, your self-esteem in social scenarios, and even your self-esteem.

Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the very same arch

  • Restore chewing capability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper complete denture will often feel better than a lower complete denture. In order to drastically enhance the fit of a lower full denture, we often recommend using dental implants as a retentive mechanism. 2 dental implants positioned in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and considerably enhance comfort. Sometimes, the implants can even be put in the jaw after a denture has been in use for a number of years.
