Our practice likes brand-new technology, specifically when it enhances the dental care that we can offer to our patients. Because of this we now provide same day crowns.

Same day crowns are a wonderful brand-new technology where gorgeous all porcelain crowns are created within two hours of the prep work of a tooth for a crown. The old procedure was where the dentist prepared your tooth for a crown, took an impression and sent this impression to a lab to have the crown built. During this time the client would need to have a short-term plastic crown that was normally uncomfortable.

Today, our devices permits us to scan the tooth preparation and mill out a new all porcelain crown within 2 hours. This means that the client leaves our practice with the permanent crown that day!

  • There's no need to wear a temporary crown for 2 or 3 weeks.

  • There is no need to return once again to have the single visit crown placed on your tooth.

  • There's no need to be numbed up again! No more shot needles!

Our office chooses same day crowns due to the fact that it is made of lovely material as well as very durable.

If your interested in a same day crown, please give our office a call.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of areas needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a full range of indications: anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns and posterior crowns.

TMJ (Temporal-Mandibular Joint)

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint might be triggered by a misalignment of the teeth, trauma, or excess muscle stress. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and five muscles are associated with the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, in some cases extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can consist of replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling gaps between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Often a plastic mouthpiece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the problem. If neglected and required to extremes, surgery might be required to fix a terribly damaged joint.
