Can Same Day Crowns Help Me?

With this new technology it permits dentists to custom-craft restorations in as little as one hour. With this, we can fabricate natural looking crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers right here in our office while you unwind. Now, there is no longer a need to make numerous trips to the dental practitioner's office to be measured and fitted with temporary restorations - you can enjoy a fantastic, natural looking, and long lasting option for your missing or damaged teeth today.

Initially, your dentist will meet with you to go over the information of the procedure. Throughout the treatment, the dentist will apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique camera to take an image of your tooth.

Using the brand-new software, the photo functions as a map to create your tooth's restoration. Then, it will use a diamond bur and disk-work to create your restoration piece out of ceramic.

Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

It makes your teeth tougher and more gorgeous - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the high-grade ceramic material works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Today's Topic Is:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a procedure in which we use a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be utilized in specific circumstances where a tooth has actually been damaged or become stained. These are normally minor repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively affordable means instead of through a more pricey dental treatment.

How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to fix damage done to the tooth by decay, to alter the positioning of the tooth, close gaps in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material sticks to the surface. Then the material itself is positioned on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to obtain a lustrous finish as a last step.
