Same Day Teeth Restorations
CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.
With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to produce your crown.
CEREC can be used in a full scope of indications: anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns and posterior crowns.

- Root Canal Therapy
Root canal treatment (also described as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is needed when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and find problems early). In some cases deep restorations or trauma to a tooth may also cause the nerve to be harmed to the point it requires root canal therapy. As soon as this occurs, the pulp ends up being infected, and can even extend through the root tip and start to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).
By the time the pulp is infected it needs to be treated, and can not recover on its own. It can even deteriorate the whole immune system. This is dangerous, and might be really painful. Signs that the pulp has become infected might include sensitivity to hot/cold or sweets, discomfort, swelling, pain to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. Often, however, no symptoms appear and the person is unaware of any problem until a checkup.
A root canal is then performed to clear out the infected tooth pulp, and sanitize the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to remove the tooth. Once the infection is fixed, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any more infection. Typically a core build-up and crown is recommended for recovering a tooth that has had root canal therapy.
