Single Visit Crowns - A Smart Technology

We aim to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are happening in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown innovation in our office. It enables us to develop crowns and larger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most innovative dental innovation, consisting of 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM technology. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The whole treatment takes in between 1-2 hours and can be finished in one sitting.

Typically, a crown in the past would have required 2 visits. The first appointment consists of preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a short-term crown. During the 2nd visit, the temporary crown is replaced with the permanent one. With a same day crown, the entire procedure can be completed in simply one visit. We will use video imaging innovation to tke a picture of the tooth and use CAD/CAM technology to create the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly sent to a milling machine that sculpts the restoration out of a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the new crown to your tooth. This removes the need to get a short-term along with a second visit.

Restorative dentistry treatments can be very important to the general health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a visit.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of areas requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to produce your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a broad range of indications: onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers and inlays.

Today's Conversation Is About:

Dentures (Dental)

There are different types of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is big enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth, however you can still eat and talk regularly.

The entire mouth is examined and a determination is made as to which teeth will have to be removed, and which will stay. The loose teeth are then extracted. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending on the type. There is an adjustment time after dentures are put in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. Once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular capability and look return and one simply carries on as usual. Often implants can be used to further stabilize the dentures.

It is important to keep in mind that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a major lifestyle change when as compared to natural teeth. Dentures impact the kind of food you have the ability to eat, your self-esteem in social situations, as well as your self-esteem.

A Few Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the very same arch

  • Restore chewing capability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper complete denture will usually feel much better than a lower complete denture. In order to dramatically improve the fit of a lower full denture, we regularly recommend using dental implants as a retentive mechanism. Two dental implants put in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and considerably enhance comfort. Often, the implants can even be put in the jaw after a denture has actually been in use for a number of years.
