Why Choose One Day Dental Crowns?

There are lots of benefits of single day crowns over standard crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, saving you significant time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no requirement for a short-term crown, which eliminates significant potential pain and inconvenience of a lost short-term restoration. Only one appointment means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was formerly treated with a root canal. No traditional impressions which means there is no gagging.

  • Visual appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this new technology restores your teeth to their natural strength, charm, and function and carefully match the structure of natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is tougher than the standard technique of layering and pressing, so your smile will remain lovely for multiple years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and technology can also be used for fillings. Because they are constructed out of porcelain, they are more long lasting than white composite fillings. They are much more aesthetic than mercury consisting of silver fillings and stronger because of bonding innovation.

Today We Will Be Discussing:

Porcelain Tooth Veneers

Veneers are a very thin pieces of long lasting, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a stunning and appealing smile.

Veneers can completely reshape your teeth and smile. They can often be alternatives to crowns and the ideal option in treating numerous cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Similar to many dental restorations, veneers may at some point need replacement; however, they are still extremely resilient and will last multiple years, providing you a long lasting, lovely smile.

How Are Veneers Set?

Veneers are a dental treatment where a covering is positioned over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are usually only done to the part of the teeth that are seen when talking or smiling. The procedure can be direct or indirect.

The direct method generally involves placing composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This technique is usually referred to as bonding.

The indirect method typically involves 2 visits because the veneers will be fabricated at a dental lab. At the very first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are given a temporary covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The lab produced veneers are normally made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are extremely esthetic.

The benefit of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the treatment is generally less unpleasant. Veneers are not advised for teeth that have large fillings or little tooth structure.

You will receive care instructions for your veneers. Appropriate brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will help in the life of your new and lovely veneers.
