Why Are These Crowns Called Same Day Crowns?

This state-of-the-art innovation allows your dentist to take precise images of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and position a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single visit. Same day crowns provide exceptional convenience, value, and precision to our patients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown procedure consists of three basic steps. 1st, your dental practitioner uses 3D imaging to take highly precise photos of your tooth and the surrounding structures. 2nd, they then download these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, designs your custom-fitted crown. Third, your dental practitioner will send the design to their in-office accuracy milling device which produces the crown from a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for extra strength and esthetics, your dentist will place it on your tooth.

What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

We only use dental porcelain and zirconia to produce our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations provide incomparable strength, durability, chip and stain resistance, and natural charm.

Precision-fitted same day crowns require less tooth prep work and protect more of your tooth structure.

Standard crowns need 2 office visits. With same day crowns, you can come into our dentist's office for an appointment and leave with a beautifully restored tooth.

You can avoid the inconvenience and potential risks related to uncomfortable short-term crowns.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of locations requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

CEREC can be used for a broad range of indications: anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns and posterior crowns.

Today's Discussion Has To Do With:

Ultra-Sonic Tooth Cleaning

We use ultrasonic scalers for most adult dental cleanings. These devices utilize ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that trigger gingivitis and gum disease. The ultrasonic cleaners create microscopic bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, eliminating microbes and removing plaque and tartar at the same time. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the gum pockets to help maintain optimal gingival health.

  • The procedure only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can get rid of tartar buildup in hard-to-reach locations, without any damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling frequently uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is barely noticeable. This makes ultrasonic cleaning suitable to those with vulnerable teeth.

  • The cleaning process is faster than manual scaling making your visit more comfy.

After your teeth have been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to check for any residual deposits and then polished.
