Same Day Crown Restorations
CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of locations requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.
With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to produce your crown.
CEREC can be used in a broad range of indications: inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns and veneers.

Porcelain Veneers (Tooth)
Veneers are a really thin pieces of resilient, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a lovely and appealing smile.
Veneers can entirely reshape your teeth and smile. They can often be alternatives to crowns and the perfect option in treating many cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.
Similar to most dental restorations, veneers may at some point need replacement; however, they are still very long lasting and will last years, providing you a long lasting, stunning smile.
How Are Veneers Placed?
Veneers are a dental treatment in which a covering is placed over the outside (noticeable area) of the tooth. Veneers are normally only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. The treatment can be direct or indirect.
The direct method normally involves positioning composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This approach is normally referred to as bonding.
The indirect technique usually involves two visits because the veneers will be fabricated at a dental laboratory. At the first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are given a temporary covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The lab produced veneers are typically made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very esthetic.
The benefit of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the procedure is generally less uncomfortable. Veneers are not recommended for teeth that have huge fillings or little tooth structure.
You will receive care guidelines for your veneers. Appropriate brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will aid in the life of your new and stunning veneers.
