What Is So Special About Same Day Crowns?

In a typical dental practice, getting dental crowns is a long and typically an uncomfortable procedure that can take numerous weeks to finish. However, our practice uses same day crown innovation, which allows us to scan, design, and mill stunning tooth-colored crowns in one day.

Picture coming into our dental office to receive a crown and walking out the same day with a strong, resilient, and aesthetically pleasing crown already in place. Call us today to learn more!

More About The Same Day Crown Process

During your appointment, you and your dentist will talk about the information of the treatment and your dental practitioner will address any concerns you might have. Your dental practitioner will then apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special 3D imaging camera to take a picture of your tooth. Using the brand-new software, your restoration will be created according to your tooth's appropriate form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to create your restoration out of a piece of ceramic. Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of areas requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a wide scope of indications: veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns and anterior crowns.

Today's Topic Has To Do With:

Dentures (Dental)

There are various kinds of dentures, however they share their common function. They replace teeth that have become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is big enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk regularly.

The whole mouth is analyzed and a determination is made as to which teeth will have to be removed, and which will stay. The loose teeth are then removed. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending on the type. There is an adjustment period after dentures are put in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the normal capability and look return and one simply carries on as usual. Commonly implants can be used to further stabilize the dentures.

It is necessary to keep in mind that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a major lifestyle change when compared with natural teeth. Dentures affect the type of food you are able to eat, your confidence in social scenarios, and even your self-esteem.

A Couple Reasons For Considering A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the same arch

  • Restore chewing capability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other treatments

An upper full denture will often feel much better than a lower complete denture. In order to dramatically improve the fit of a lower complete denture, we often suggest utilizing dental implants as a retentive mechanism. 2 dental implants placed in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and significantly enhance comfort. In some cases, the implants can even be positioned in the jaw after a denture has been in use for multiple years.
