ONE DAY DENTAL IMPLANT
NEW ORLEANS LOUISIANA

Updated On Sunday, March 24, 2019 09:10:26 PM

If you have a fractured or busted tooth, are experiencing pain when chewing or exposed to hot or cold temperatures, or want to eliminate unattractive metal crowns or fillings, then dental crowns might be a good option for you. Dental Crowns cover the visible surface area of the affected tooth, adding sturdiness and stability to it.

Same-day dental crowns are an option that we provide on a case by case basis to clients who would gain from the procedure. They allow patients to come to our office and leave within a couple hours with their permanent dental crown in place that same day. This eliminates the need to have a temporary crown placed and then another check-up scheduled for the placement of the permanent crown.

Our Same-Day Crowns are made with our brand-new technology that scans the mouth to obtain the proper measurements of your tooth and surrounding teeth, then makes your crown right there in the office. These restorations are extremely strong and resilient and made out of the highest quality porcelain available. Sometimes, a gold crown might be recommended for your posterior teeth (back teeth) if you grind or clinch your teeth a lot.

Gold crowns are different from porcelain crowns, and the cost may differ between the two and you might wish to talk about your budget too with the your dental practitioner. Your dental practitioner will go over with you the types of crowns available and offer you a suggestion based on your particular scenario.

Call us to set up a complimentary cosmetic consultation. We look forward to meeting you.

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

Today's Conversation Is About:

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device designed to replace missing teeth. The device is typically constructed of titanium and is surgically put into the jawbone where the teeth are missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and conventional bridges or dentures may not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some individuals, dental implants provide a smile that feels and look extremely natural. Surgically placed below the gums over a series of visits, implants fuse to the jawbone and act as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants provide stability because they connect to your bone, a process called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some individuals also find the secure fit is more comfy than traditional substitutes. Candidates for dental implants have to have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

How Involving Is A Dental Implant?

A dental implant may be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this treatment, a little titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which in addition slows or stops the bone loss that happens when the root of a natural tooth is missing. As soon as the implant is firmly set in the mouth, the dentist then works to connect the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent solution has the advantages over bridge work that it does not stress the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth break, another can simply be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be used as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an alternative to partial dentures, and has numerous advantages. First, there is no modification period to acclimatize the client who, as soon as the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no pain or problem in eating. And, best of all, of course, they do not have to be taken out all the time.
