If you have a fractured or busted tooth, are experiencing pain when chewing or exposed to hot or cold temperature levels, or want to eliminate unattractive metal crowns or fillings, then dental crowns might be a good alternative for you. Dental Crowns cover the outter surface area of the affected tooth, adding resilience and stability to it.

Same-day dental crowns are a choice that we provide on a case by case basis to clients who would gain from the procedure. They allow clients to come to our office and leave within a couple hours with their permanent dental crown in place that same day. This gets rid of the need to have a short-term crown placed then another check-up scheduled for the placement of the permanent crown.

Our Same-Day Crowns are made with our new innovation that scans the mouth to get the proper measurements of your tooth and surrounding teeth, then makes your crown right there in the office. These restorations are very strong and long lasting and made out of the highest quality porcelain available. Sometimes, a gold crown might be recommended for your posterior teeth (back teeth) if you grind or clinch your teeth a lot.

Gold crowns are different from porcelain crowns, and the expense may differ between the two and you may wish to discuss your budget too with the your dentist. Your dentist will go over with you the kinds of crowns available and give you a recommendation based upon your certain scenario.

Call us to arrange a complimentary cosmetic consultation. We look forward to meeting you.

The Conversation Of The Day Is:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a treatment where we apply a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be used in specific circumstances where a tooth has actually been damaged or ended up being stained. These are normally small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively inexpensive means instead of through a more costly dental treatment.

Here's How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to modify the alignment of the tooth, close spaces in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material adheres to the surface area. Then the material itself is placed on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to obtain a shiny finish as a last step.
