HOW DO THEY DO DENTAL IMPLANTS IN ONE DAY

Updated On Friday, November 16, 2018 06:07:58 PM

Temporary crowns and second visits for crowns are now generally unnecessary thanks to the same day crown technology. We offer this amazing one-visit crown innovation in our office, adding greater convenience to the process of getting a crown. The waiting time in between your procedure and when you get your long-term crown is eliminated.

The same day crown innovation is an instrument that enables ceramic restorations (veneers, inlays, onlays, and crowns) to be performed in one check-up instead of two. The computer coordinates with a wireless digital camera permitting the dentist to make digital impressions without the discomfort of bulky impression material.

After taking the picture the computer takes control and mills your customized crown immediately so that we can cement your brand-new crown that same day. The results we see are incredible. With the same day crowns, the fit, strength, and aesthetics of the ceramic restorations are superb.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a full range of indications: veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns and anterior crowns.

Today We Will Be Discussing:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the number one aesthetic concern of the majority of patients, there are multiple ways to lighten teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth lightening system that will whiten teeth considerably. Because tooth lightening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is very important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after lightening so they will match the freshly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use a number of methods: custom made tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the lab fabricates into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole procedure takes about a week of everyday use. Three different strengths of gel might be utilized, however, the greater the strength, the higher the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is suggested for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take numerous months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very quick and convenient bleaching process. The visit is approximately one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our patients like this treatment due to the fact that it is so simple and quick!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays must be utilized every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
