Today We Will Be Reviewing:

Dentures (Dental)

There are various kinds of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is great enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth, however you can still eat and talk regularly.

The entire mouth is examined and a determination is made as to which teeth will need to be removed, and which will stay. The loose teeth are then removed. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending on the type. There is an adjustment period after dentures are placed in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the normal performance and look return and one just continues as usual. Typically implants can be utilized to further stabilize the dentures.

It is important to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a significant lifestyle change when compared with natural teeth. Dentures affect the kind of food you have the ability to eat, your self-esteem in social situations, and even your self-confidence.

Reasons For Considering A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the same arch

  • Restore chewing ability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper complete denture will usually feel much better than a lower complete denture. In order to considerably enhance the fit of a lower complete denture, we often suggest utilizing dental implants as a retentive mechanism. 2 dental implants put in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and substantially enhance comfort. Often, the implants can even be put in the jaw after a denture has been in use for numerous years.
