Same Day Crowns At A Family Dentist Near You

Same Day Crowns technology has changed how dental treatments will be done from now on. If crowns, onlays, inlays or dental veneers were needed to restore damaged teeth, it used to imply multiple appointments, a lot of inconvenience, and frequently a lot of money.

This brand-new technology makes these ceramic restorations within minutes in the dental office. It is comprised of numerous computer-assisted design (CAD) tools and a milling device that creates customized ceramic restorative devices. It also can make practically any ceramic restoration to order, suggesting the dentist can place it right away. This is of excellent benefit to a worried client, and it can also lower the cost of treatment.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used for a wide scope of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

Today We Will Be Going Over:

Temporal Mandibular Joint

TMJ stands for temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint might be triggered by a misalignment of the teeth, trauma, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are involved in the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can trigger:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble or soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, in some cases extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can consist of replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces in between teeth, etc. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. In some cases a plastic mouth piece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is contributing to the problem. If untreated and required to extremes, surgery might be needed to repair a terribly damaged joint.
