Same Day Crowns Near You

We are your local dental practitioner for single-visit tooth restorations. Why go to the dentist a 2nd time if you don't need to? One visit, one shot and no impressions. Arrange an appointment for same day crowns in our office today. Our office is pleased to have the most recent innovation for same day crowns.

We always stay on the cutting-edge for our valued clients!

What Are Same Day Crowns?

It is a technology for restoring damaged teeth, and this restoration can be finished in a single visit to our office. It makes your teeth stronger and more beautiful - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the high-grade ceramic material and is compatible with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Throughout your appointment, you and your dental practitioner will go over the details of the treatment and your dentist will address any concerns you might have concerning the procedure or porcelain crowns in general.

Your dental practitioner will then use a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special 3D imaging camera to take a picture of your tooth. Using the new proprietary software, your restoration will be developed according to your tooth's proper shape and function.

Then, it will use a diamond burs to create your restoration from a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of areas requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

CEREC can be used in a full range of indications: partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.

The Discussion Of The Day Is:

TMJ (Temporal-Mandibular Joint)

TMJ stands for temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Problems in this joint might be caused by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle stress. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are associated with the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, often extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can consist of replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling gaps between teeth, etc. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Often a plastic mouth piece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is contributing to the problem. If neglected and taken to extremes, surgery may be required to fix a severely damaged joint.
