DENTAL IMPLANT ONE DAY

Updated On Tuesday, February 19, 2019 05:51:34 PM

Same day crowns are an innovative dental technology that is used for the restoration of decayed, cracked, or chipped teeth. This innovation can develop full crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers. The same day crown machine crafts a restoration in a matter of minutes.

Same day crown restorations are made of compressed porcelain. It is for this reason that they are more durable than lab restorations, which are layered porcelain. The most useful feature of getting a same day crown restoration is that it is achieved in one visit. In addition to the advantage of a one visit restoration, there is no uncomfortable impression product to bite on or a short-term crown to wear.

The treatment for placement of a same day crown restoration is very easy. The primary step is to eliminate all decay from the tooth. The dentist will then shape the tooth in preparation to take a digital picture. The tooth is then sprayed with a extremely fine powder. This permits the digital camera to take an acceptable image. Once this image is captured, the tooth will appear on a computer screen in 3D. This will permit the dentist to design the restoration right in front of you.

Once the design is completed, the same day crown machine will mill the restoration. This step takes approximately 15 minutes. You can actually view this procedure if you would like. When the restoration is finished milling, the dental practitioner will place the restoration on your tooth.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used in a broad range of indications: partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.

Ultra-Sonic Teeth Cleaning

We use ultrasonic scalers for the majority of adult dental cleanings. These devices utilize ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that cause gingivitis and gum disease. The ultrasonic cleaners create microscopic bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, killing microbes and eliminating plaque and tartar in the process. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the periodontal pockets to help keep optimal gingival health.

  • The treatment only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can eliminate tartar buildup in hard-to-reach areas, with no damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling commonly uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is barely noticeable. This makes ultrasonic cleaning ideal to those with delicate teeth.

  • The cleaning procedure is faster than manual scaling making your visit more comfy.

After your teeth have been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to look for any residual deposits and after that polished.
