Why Choose One Day Crowns?

There are lots of advantages of single visit crowns over standard crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one appointment, conserving you significant time away from your job and family.

  • Comfort: With same day crowns, there is no requirement for a short-term crown, which removes significant possible pain and inconvenience of a lost short-term restoration. Only one visit means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was previously treated with a root canal. No standard impressions means no gagging.

  • Looks: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this brand-new technology restores your teeth to their natural strength, charm, and function and closely match the structure of natural tooth structure.

  • Durability: Milled ceramic is tougher than the standard technique of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay stunning for multiple years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and technology can also be used for fillings. Since they are constructed out of porcelain, they are more long lasting than white composite fillings. They are a lot more aesthetic than mercury consisting of silver fillings and stronger because of bonding technology.

If you have anymore concerns about same day crowns or porcelain crowns, please do not hesitate to call our office today. We will answer any questions you have and you can make an appointment to consult with our dentist face to face.

Today's Subject Will Be:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a treatment where we apply a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be used in certain situations where a tooth has actually been damaged or ended up being stained. These are typically minor repairs, ones that can be resolved through this reasonably inexpensive ways instead of through a more costly dental treatment.

Here's How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to alter the alignment of the tooth, close spaces between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material sticks to the surface area. Then the material itself is put on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to get a lustrous finish as a last step.
