Composite Dental Bonding
Bonding is a procedure in which we use a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be utilized in certain scenarios where a tooth has actually been broken or ended up being stained. These are generally minor repairs, ones that can be resolved through this reasonably inexpensive ways instead of through a more pricey dental procedure.
Here Is How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to fix damage done to the tooth by decay, to modify the alignment of the tooth, close gaps between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material adheres to the surface area. Then the material itself is put on the tooth and solidified with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to get a lustrous finish as a last step.
