DENTAL IMPLANTS IN A DAY

Updated On Monday, October 22, 2018 06:50:28 PM

Thanks to ingenious modern technologies, we are proud to introduce the capability to offer you with same day crowns - that's right, a new crown in just one appointment! Here's how it works.

First, high resolution digital 3-D impressions are taken with a little camera, a unique camera established just for this purpose.

Second, the brand-new software assesses the whole image and uses the results to determine a variety of exceptional restoration possibilities. Next those possibilities are assessed and fine-tuned by the dentist and the last restoration strategy is picked.

Step three your brand-new crown is milled by the cerec machine right in our office and put in your mouth, all in one visit!

If you want to know more about the same day crown treatment, call our office and we would be more than happy to assist you.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used for a full range of indications: anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns and posterior crowns.

Today Were Discussing:

Root Canal (Endodontic Treatment)

Root canal treatment (also referred to as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is needed when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and find problems early). Sometimes deep restorations or trauma to a tooth may also trigger the nerve to be damaged to the point it needs root canal treatment. As soon as this happens, the pulp ends up being infected, and can even extend through the root tip and start to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it should be treated, and can not recover on its own. It can even weaken the entire immune system. This is dangerous, and might be very unpleasant. Symptoms that the pulp has become infected might include sensitivity to hot/cold or sugary foods, discomfort, swelling, discomfort to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. Sometimes, however, no symptoms are apparent and the individual is unaware of any issue until a checkup.

A root canal is then performed to clean out the infected tooth pulp, and sanitize the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to remove the tooth. Once the infection is dealt with, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any further infection. Normally a core build-up and crown is suggested for recovering a tooth that has actually had root canal treatment.
