Same day crowns are a dental restoration innovation that permits a dentist to produce an indirect ceramic dental restoration using computer-assisted innovations, consisting of 3-D photography and CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing).

Same day crowns permits dental practitioners the versatility to restore teeth in a single sitting with a patient, rather than the multiple appointments required with other methods!

Same day crowns have actually been proven by hundreds of clinical research studies and is provided by countless dental practitioners to countless patients around the globe each year!

Same day crowns not only conserves you money and time, it can also save your teeth!

Dental X-rays are unable to penetrate metal crowns, making any degeneration undetectable up until it was far too late.

Same day crowns use a strong porcelain that x-rays can penetrate. This indicates any degeneration below the restoration can be discovered and fixed before it ends up being a major problem.

Because same day crown technology use a milling device to mill the ceramic into your customized restoration, the porcelain is stronger than those developed by hand. And, the computer-assisted innovation can produce an practically similar restoration of the previous tooth.

Temporal Mandibular Joint

TMJ stands for temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Problems in this joint may be caused by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and five muscles are involved in the area. If something fails a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble or soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, in some cases extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can consist of replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling gaps between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. In some cases a plastic mouthpiece is utilized to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the issue. If untreated and required to extremes, surgery might be needed to repair a badly damaged joint.
