How Can Same Day Crowns Help Me?

With this new innovation it allows dental practitioners to custom-craft restorations in just one hour. With this, we can produce natural looking crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers here in our office while you unwind. Now, there is no longer a need to make numerous trips to the dentist's office to be measured and fitted with short-term restorations - you can enjoy a fantastic, natural looking, and resilient option for your missing or damaged teeth today.

Initially, your dental practitioner will consult with you to talk about the details of the treatment. Throughout the procedure, the dental practitioner will apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique camera to take an image of your tooth.

Using the new software, the image works as a map to develop your tooth's restoration. Then, it will use a diamond bur and disk-work to develop your restoration piece from ceramic.

Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

It makes your teeth tougher and more lovely - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the high-grade ceramic material is compatible with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to produce your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a full range of indications: onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers and inlays.

Today's Topic Will Be:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of many patients, there are a number of ways to bleach teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth whitening system that will lighten teeth significantly. Since tooth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is necessary to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the freshly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use multiple methods: custom made tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory makes into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole process takes about a week of day-to-day use. 3 different strengths of gel might be used, however, the greater the strength, the higher the probability of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is advised for badly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take multiple months of use to see significant color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really quick and convenient bleaching process. The visit is approximately one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our clients like this treatment due to the fact that it is so simple and fast!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays must be used every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
