Same day crowns are a dental restoration innovation that enables a dental practitioner to produce an indirect ceramic dental restoration using computer-assisted innovations, including 3-D photography and CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing).

Same day crowns permits dental practitioners the versatility to fix teeth in a single sitting with a patient, instead of the multiple visits needed with other techniques!

Same day crowns have actually been shown by hundreds of medical research studies and is provided by thousands of dentists to countless patients around the world each year!

Same day crowns not just conserves you time and money, it can also conserve your teeth!

Dental X-rays are not able to penetrate metal crowns, making any decay undetected till it was far too late.

Same day crowns use a strong porcelain that x-rays can penetrate. This means any decay underneath the restoration can be found and treated before it ends up being a big problem.

Due to the fact that same day crown innovation use a milling unit to mill the ceramic into your custom-made restoration, the porcelain is more durable than those produced by hand. And, the computer-assisted technology can produce an almost similar restoration of the previous tooth.

TMJ (Temporal-Mandibular Joint)

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Problems in this joint might be caused by a misalignment of the teeth, trauma, or excess muscle stress. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are involved in the area. If something fails a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, sometimes extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can consist of replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces in between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Sometimes a plastic mouth piece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is contributing to the issue. If untreated and taken to extremes, surgery may be required to repair a terribly damaged joint.
