Same Day Crowns

Same day crown technology plays a vital function in our practice. This remarkable development in chair side dentistry provides us the tools to design, produce, and position crowns, inlays and onlays in a single appointment.

The Same Day Crown Difference

The traditional method to a crown or inlay and onlay typically required a return appointment after the client waited (with a short-term restoration in the tooth) for about 2 weeks while the restoration was manufactured in a different lab. Same day crown CAD/CAM technology removes the wait!

How Do Same Day Crowns Work?

Same day crowns utilize a unique camera to take an accurate photo of the broken tooth. This optical impression is transferred and shown on a color computer screen, where the dental practitioner utilizes CAD (computer-aided design) software to create the restoration.

Then CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) takes control of and immediately mills the restoration while the patient waits. At last, the brand-new restoration is bonded in place.

The entire process takes about one hour, and there are no bothersome temporaries or 2nd appointment needed!

Proven Technology

With two decades of scientific research and more than 20 million restorations carried out worldwide, same day crowns have actually proven to be a an reliable, safe and practical technology that we are delighted to provide to our patients.

Today's Subject Is:

Ultrasonic Cleanings

We use ultrasonic scalers for a lot of adult dental cleanings. These devices use ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that trigger gingivitis and gum disease. The ultrasonic cleaners develop tiny bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, eliminating microbes and getting rid of plaque and tartar in the process. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the gum pockets to help keep optimal gingival health.

  • The procedure only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can remove tartar buildup in hard-to-reach locations, with no damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling frequently uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is barely perceptible. This makes ultrasonic cleaning suitable to those with delicate teeth.

  • The cleaning procedure is faster than manual scaling making your visit more comfortable.

After your teeth have actually been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to check for any residual deposits then polished.
