What's So Great About Single Visit Dental Crowns?

In a normal dental practice, receiving dental crowns is a long and often an unpleasant process that can take numerous weeks to finish. However, our practice uses same day crown innovation, which enables us to scan, design, and mill beautiful tooth-colored crowns in one day.

Picture entering our dental office to receive a crown and walking out the same day with a strong, long lasting, and aesthetically pleasing crown already in place. Call us today to learn more!

More About The Single Visit Crown Process

During your visit, you and your dental practitioner will go over the information of the procedure and your dental practitioner will answer any concerns you might have. Your dental practitioner will then use a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique 3D imaging camera to take a image of your tooth. Using the new software, your restoration will be created according to your tooth's proper form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to produce your restoration from a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of locations needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used in a wide range of indications: onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers and inlays.

Today's Topic Has To Do With:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Identifying problems with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, costly treatments or surgeries. X-rays are primarily utilized to identify:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have a number of advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The worry of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Huge on-screen X-rays make client communication more efficient. The immediate observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and properly.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It allows the patient and the medical professional to see pictures of the teeth in greater resolution on a large format for much easier detection of issues, all while reducing the radiation exposure to the client. The process we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available instantly after exposure, getting rid of the wait and effort spent establishing and installing x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done instantly. Digital format also allows us to send out and get your images electronically for consultation that can be presented to you quickly.
