At our dental practice we do same day crowns. You may ask, exactly what are same day crowns and what can it provide for me?

It is a 3D system that lets us make porcelain crowns and inlays all in one appointment. We have actually now been using this technology for many years and love it more than ever.

Same day crowns are an in-surgery computer system that allows us to fix damaged or missing tooth structures with a ceramic product that's as close to a natural tooth as is possible.

This is done while you remain in the practice, in simply one visit. All ceramic porcelain inlays and onlays, veneers and crowns that look like natural teeth can be made and fitted in a single appointment, generally in about an hour.

So exactly what is the procedure?

We scan the opposite teeth and the method the teeth bite together first. We remove the old filling, and decay and any thin weak tooth material and scan the prepared tooth.

After this we quit working in the mouth and start working on the computer.

Everyone enjoys seeing the pictures of their teeth and the creating of their brand-new tooth. We make 3D design and this information is sent to the milling unit.

Everybody asks if this is like 3D printing and yes it is, but the tooth isn't built up layer by layer, it is cut from a block in the machine, which is much more durable.

The block is then precisely carved to produce your brand-new restoration, which is great.

At last, the customized crown restoration bonded effortlessly into the tooth, strengthening and sealing it at the same time and after that we tidy up!

We need to ensure that you can bite correctly, that its smooth and that you can floss.

The Conversation Of The Day Will Be:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of many clients, there are numerous methods to lighten teeth. The most popular technique is utilizing a home tooth bleaching system that will lighten teeth significantly. Since tooth lightening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after lightening so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize numerous methods: customizeded tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray technique involves having impressions taken, which the lab fabricates into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole procedure takes about a week of daily use. Three different strengths of gel may be utilized, however, the higher the strength, the higher the likelihood of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray method is advised for badly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take multiple months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very fast and convenient whitening process. The visit is roughly one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our patients enjoy this treatment due to the fact that it is so easy and fast!

Tooth lightening is not permanent. A touch-up might be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays must be used every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
