What Is So Great About Single Visit Crowns?

In a typical dental practice, receiving dental crowns is a long and typically an uncomfortable procedure that can take multiple weeks to finish. However, our practice uses same day crown innovation, which allows us to scan, design, and mill lovely tooth-colored crowns in one day.

Picture entering our dental office to receive a crown and walking out the same day with a strong, durable, and visually pleasing crown already in place. Call us today for more information!

The Single Visit Crown Process

Throughout your visit, you and your dentist will talk about the details of the procedure and your dental practitioner will address any concerns you may have. Your dentist will then apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique 3D imaging camera to take a photo of your tooth. Using the brand-new software, your restoration will be created according to your tooth's appropriate form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to develop your restoration from a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used in a wide range of indications: anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns and posterior crowns.

The Topic Of The Day Is:

Dental Dentures

There are various types of dentures, however they share their common function. They replace teeth that have become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is big enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk regularly.

The entire mouth is examined and a decision is made regarding which teeth will have to be removed, and which will remain. The loose teeth are then removed. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending on the type. There is an adjustment period after dentures are put in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. Once accustomed to the dentures, all the normal capability and appearance return and one simply continues as usual. Often implants can be used to further support the dentures.

It is very important to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a significant lifestyle change when compared with natural teeth. Dentures impact the kind of food you are able to eat, your self-esteem in social situations, as well as your self-esteem.

Reasons For Considering A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the same arch

  • Restore chewing ability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper full denture will usually feel much better than a lower complete denture. In order to considerably enhance the fit of a lower full denture, we often recommend using dental implants as a retentive mechanism. 2 dental implants positioned in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and significantly enhance comfort. Sometimes, the implants can even be positioned in the jaw after a denture has been in use for a number of years.
