SAME DAY DENTAL REPAIR
PLAINVILLE GEORGIA

Updated On Sunday, August 19, 2018 07:15:25 AM

Our practice loves brand-new innovations, specifically when it enhances the dental care that we can offer to our clients. Because of this we now offer same day crowns.

Same day crowns are a wonderful new technology where lovely all porcelain crowns are developed within 2 hours of the prep work of a tooth for a crown. The old process was where the dentist prepared your tooth for a crown, took an impression and sent this impression to a lab to get the crown built. During this time the patient would need to have a short-term plastic crown that was normally uncomfy.

Today, our devices permits us to scan the tooth preparation and mill out a new all porcelain crown within 2 hours. This means that the patient leaves our office with the permanent crown that day!

  • There's no need to wear a short-term crown for two to three weeks.

  • There is no need to return once again to have the single day crown inserted on your tooth.

  • There is no need to be numbed once more! No more shot needles!

Our office prefers same day crowns due to the fact that it is made of beautiful material and also very durable.

If your interested in a same day crown, please give our office a call.

Today's Topic Is About:

Tooth Veneers (Porcelain)

Veneers are a really thin pieces of durable, tooth shaped, porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a gorgeous and appealing smile.

Veneers can completely reshape your teeth and smile. They can often be alternatives to crowns and the perfect option in treating numerous cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

As with a lot of dental restorations, veneers might at some point need replacement; however, they are still extremely long lasting and will last many years, offering you a long lasting, beautiful smile.

How Are Veneers Placed?

Veneers are a dental procedure in which a covering is put over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are usually only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or grinning. The procedure can be direct or indirect.

The direct strategy usually involves placing composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This approach is generally referred to as bonding.

The indirect strategy generally involves 2 visits because the veneers will be fabricated at a dental laboratory. At the very first appointment the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are provided a short-term covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory produced veneers are usually made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are really esthetic.

The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the procedure is normally less unpleasant. Veneers are not suggested for teeth that have huge fillings or little tooth structure.

You will receive care directions for your veneers. Appropriate brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will aid in the life of your new and stunning veneers.
