What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?

There are numerous advantages to having treatment with same day crowns over standard, laboratory-made restorations.

  • Everything is performed in a single visit, you just need to visit the dentist one time, take one day from your schedule to have the procedure, instead of the typical 2 or three visits.

  • Only one anesthetic injections, because the whole treatment can be performed within an hour you just need to have one injection.

  • Your dentist remains in complete control of the outcome, since the crown or inlay are designed and made from start to finish by your dental practitioner, they have total control over how it will look and fit.

Today Were Talking About:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a procedure where we use a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be utilized in certain scenarios where a tooth has been broken or ended up being stained. These are typically small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively inexpensive methods instead of through a more expensive dental procedure.

Here Is How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to change the positioning of the tooth, close gaps in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material adheres to the surface. Then the material itself is put on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to get a lustrous finish as a last step.
