Can Same Day Crowns Help Me?

With this new innovation it enables dental practitioners to custom-craft restorations in just one hour. With this, we can make natural looking crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers here in our office while you relax. Now, there is no longer a need to make numerous trips to the dental practitioner's office to be measured and fitted with short-term restorations - you can take pleasure in a fantastic, natural looking, and long lasting option for your missing or damaged teeth today.

First, your dental practitioner will meet with you to talk about the information of the treatment. Throughout the treatment, the dentist will apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special camera to take a picture of your tooth.

Using the new software, the image functions as a map to develop your tooth's restoration. Then, it will use a diamond bur and disk-work to create your restoration piece out of ceramic.

Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

It makes your teeth stronger and more lovely - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the top-quality ceramic material works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of areas requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a wide range of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

The Discussion For Today Is:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Discovering issues with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, pricey procedures or surgeries. X-rays are primarily used to find:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have numerous advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The concern of direct exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Large on-screen X-rays make patient communication more efficient. The instant observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has significantly improved the practice of dentistry. It allows the patient and the doctor to see images of the teeth in greater resolution on a huge format for easier detection of problems, all while reducing the radiation exposure to the patient. The process we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available immediately after exposure, getting rid of the wait and effort spent establishing and mounting x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done immediately. Digital format also allows us to send and receive your images electronically for consultation that can be provided to you rapidly.
