Dental crowns are used to reinforce a tooth, and return it to its initial function. Dental crowns are made to color-match the nearby teeth, so they can not be spotted by others as being anything less than a long-term tooth. With a dental crown, you have the ability to eat anything you like, and your clear speech will never be interfered with. In fact, your dental crown is so natural feeling, you will not even know it exists in your mouth.

Same day crowns are a very amazing offering of our practice. We are able to offer you with a lovely new smile in just one day. Our office has state-of-the-art devices that permits dental practitioners to supply you with crowns in simply a small portion of the time that was required previously.

CAD/CAM innovation is exactly what makes this amazing advancement possible. The acronym stands for computer-aided design/computed-aided manufacturing. We are able to use this innovation in our system. This system is used to fix teeth, start to finish, in one day. This will save you from an additional appointment to our practice, a week or two later. We're sure you have much more amazing things you would rather do with your time than to sit in our dental practitioner's chair any longer than you need to!

Using our brand-new system, we scan the prepared tooth in your mouth or from an impression, then send out the information to our in-office milling station. The restoration is computer-milled to the precise specifications to fit your mouth in minutes. As soon as the crown is crated, we put it in your mouth, and color, polish and restore your brand-new tooth to a lovely and natural-looking luster. This technology can also be used for same-day veneers or inlays.

If you need a crown in a hurry, for an upcoming social or business event, this process may undoubtedly be ideal for you. If you are interested in finding out more about this process, contact us today for a visit.

Today Were Talking About:

Gum Disease (Periodontal Disease)

Gum disease is an infection of the tissues that surround and support your teeth. Since gum disease is typically painless, you may not know you have it. Also called periodontal disease, gum disease is caused by plaque, the sticky film of bacteria that is constantly forming on our teeth.

Some warning signs that can indicate an issue:

  • gums that bleed easily.

  • red, inflamed, tender gums.

  • gums that have retreated from the teeth.

  • consistent bad breath or bad taste.

  • permanent teeth that are separating or loose.

  • any change in the way your teeth fit together when you bite.

  • any change in the fit of partial dentures.

There are numerous aspects that increase the risk of developing gum disease including smoking cigarettes, pregnancy, and diabetes. It is necessary to go to your dentist if you suspect you have gum disease because the quicker you treat it the better.

The early stage of gum disease is called gingivitis. If you have gingivitis, your gums might become red, swollen and bleed quickly. At this stage, the disease is still fixable and can typically be eliminated by a professional cleaning at your dental office, followed by everyday flossing and brushing.

Advanced periodontal disease is called periodontitis. Chronic periodontitis can cause the loss of bone and tissue that support the teeth and it may end up being more severe over time. If it does, your teeth will feel loose and start moving around in your mouth. It usually worsens slowly, however there can be periods of fast progression.

Aggressive periodontitis is a highly destructive form of periodontal disease that occurs in patients who are otherwise healthy. Common features consist of rapid loss of bone and tissue and might take place in some areas of the mouth, or in the entire mouth.

Research in between systemic diseases and gum diseases is ongoing. While a link is not conclusive, some studies show that severe periodontal disease may be connected with multiple other health conditions such as stroke or diabetes.

Routine dental checkups and periodontal examinations are essential. The treatment methods that most dental experts diagnose will rely on the kind of disease and how far the condition has advanced. Excellent dental care in your home is important to help keep periodontal disease from becoming more serious or recurring.
