Single Visit Dental Crowns With Advanced Technology

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are occurring in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown innovation in our office. It enables us to develop crowns and bigger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most innovative dental technology, consisting of 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM technology. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The whole treatment takes between 1-2 hours and can be finished in one sitting.

Typically, a crown in the past would have needed 2 appointments. The first visit consists of preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a short-term crown. Throughout the 2nd visit, the short-term crown is replaced with the permanent one. With a same day crown, the whole procedure can be completed in simply one appointment. We will use video imaging innovation to tke a picture of the tooth and use CAD/CAM technology to develop the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly sent to a milling device that sculpts the restoration from a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the new crown to your tooth. This eliminates the need to get a temporary in addition to a second appointment.

Restorative dentistry procedures can be essential to the overall health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a consultation.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of locations requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

CEREC can be used in a wide scope of indications: partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.

The Conversation Of The Day Will Be:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of many patients, there are multiple methods to bleach teeth. The most popular technique is utilizing a home tooth whitening system that will lighten teeth dramatically. Since tooth lightening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the freshly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use multiple techniques: customizeded tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory fabricates into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole procedure takes about a week of day-to-day use. Three different strengths of gel might be used, however, the higher the strength, the higher the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray method is advised for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take multiple months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very fast and practical whitening process. The visit is approximately one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our clients like this treatment because it is so simple and quick!

Tooth lightening is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays should be utilized every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
