Same day crowns are an sophisticated dental technology that is utilized for the restoration of decayed, broken, or cracked teeth. This innovation can develop complete crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers. The same day crown machine crafts a restoration in a matter of minutes.

Same day crown restorations are made from compressed porcelain. It is for this reason that they are stronger than lab restorations, which are layered porcelain. The most useful feature of receiving a same day crown restoration is that it is accomplished in one visit. In addition to the advantage of a one appointment restoration, there is no uncomfortable impression product to bite on or a short-term crown to wear.

The treatment for positioning of a same day crown restoration is very easy. The first step is to get rid of all degeneration from the tooth. The dentist will then shape the tooth in preparation to take a digital picture. The tooth is then sprayed with a very fine powder. This permits the digital camera to take an appropriate image. As soon as this image is captured, the tooth will appear on a computer screen in 3D. This will enable the dentist to develop the restoration right in front of you.

Once the design is finished, the same day crown device will mill the restoration. This step takes approximately 15 minutes. You can actually view this procedure if you would like. When the restoration is completed milling, the dentist will position the restoration on your tooth.

Today We Will Be Discussing:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Discovering problems with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, expensive treatments or surgeries. X-rays are mostly used to spot:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have a number of advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The worry of direct exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Large on-screen X-rays make patient communication more effective. The immediate observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and properly.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It allows the client and the medical professional to see pictures of the teeth in higher resolution on a huge format for much easier detection of problems, all while reducing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The process we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available immediately after exposure, getting rid of the wait and effort spent developing and mounting x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done right away. Digital format also enables us to send out and get your images digitally for consultation that can be presented to you rapidly.
