CROWN IN A DAY
PARIS PA

Updated On Wednesday, July 18, 2018 12:00:29 PM

Temporary crowns and second visits for crowns are now normally unnecessary thanks to the same day crown technology. We provide this amazing one-visit crown technology in our office, adding greater convenience to the procedure of getting a crown. The waiting time between your treatment and when you get your long-term crown is eliminated.

The same day crown innovation is an instrument that enables ceramic restorations (veneers, inlays, onlays, and crowns) to be carried out in one check-up instead of two. The computer coordinates with a wireless digital camera enabling the dentist to make digital impressions without the discomfort of bulky impression material.

After taking the picture the computer takes over and mills your custom crown right away so that we can cement your new crown that very same day. The outcomes we see are amazing. With the same day crowns, the strength, aesthetics, and fit of the ceramic restorations are exceptional.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of locations requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used in a full range of indications: veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns and anterior crowns.

Today's Subject Will Be:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a procedure in which we apply a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be used in specific circumstances where a tooth has been damaged or ended up being stained. These are typically minor repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively inexpensive methods rather than through a more pricey dental treatment.

Here's How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to fix damage done to the tooth by decay, to change the alignment of the tooth, close spaces in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material adheres to the surface area. Then the material itself is positioned on the tooth and solidified with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to get a shiny finish as a last step.
