Single Day Crowns And Teeth Restorations

Do you need to get a dental crown? Or will you quickly be requiring a dental procedure that will cause you to require a dental crown? If so, you may be beginning to fear the time you will need to spend at the dentist's office. At our dental practice, we offer a excellent time-saving solution for you. We offer same day crowns at our practice!

At our practice we are proud to have professional and highly-trained dental practitioners on staff. At our dental practice we include advanced innovations and treatments to offer our patients with the very best restorative, preventive, implant, and cosmetic dentistry care. For patients who have to get dental crowns, we are extremely pleased to be able to provide same day crowns.

Crowns and caps are 2 various names for the same thing. A dental crown is a restoration that is normally made from porcelain. It is a strong structure that is used to cover a tooth on all four sides to help reinforce the tooth and improve its function.

Crowns can also be used to attach bridges, as the top part of a dental implant, or to prevent a broken tooth from becoming weaker. Crowns can also be used to strengthen a tooth after a root canal treatment.

Crowns are also used for purely aesthetic reasons, such as to cover a significantly discolored tooth that has to be restored to its original, attractive look.

Generally getting a dental crown is a lengthy treatment. The dentist will have to take impressions, offer you with a temporary crown, await the crown to be returned from a lab, and after that have you go back to the office so that it can be permanently attached. Today at our practice patients can get same day crowns in about 2 hours.

Our same day crowns are created in our practice thanks to our CAD-CAM technology.

CAD-CAM means "computer-aided-design-computer-aided-manufacture." Computers are used to take images which are then computer-analyzed and used to develop a crown.

This crown is actually milled by a computer in our office. The crown will fit your mouth exactly and remove any need to send out impressions or pictures to an outside laboratory.

All this is done while you wait, getting rid of the need to come back for a second appointment.

You also will not need to get a crown, given that our permanent crown will be immediately available to you.

If you want to meet with our dentist to learn more about same day crowns or to get a same day crown, call our practice.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of areas requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a full scope of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

Today's Subject Is:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a procedure where we apply a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be used in specific circumstances where a tooth has been damaged or become stained. These are usually small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this reasonably inexpensive ways rather than through a more pricey dental procedure.

Here's How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to fix damage done to the tooth by decay, to change the alignment of the tooth, close gaps in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material sticks to the surface. Then the material itself is put on the tooth and solidified with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to get a glossy finish as a last step.
