At our dental practice we do same day crowns. You may be asking, exactly what are same day crowns and what can it do for me?

It is a 3D system that lets us make porcelain crowns and inlays all in one visit. We have now been using this innovation for multiple years and like it more than ever.

Same day crowns are an in-surgery computer system that allows us to replace broken or missing tooth structures with a ceramic material that's as close to a natural tooth as is possible.

This is done while you are in the practice, in just one visit. All ceramic porcelain inlays and onlays, veneers and crowns that look and feel like natural teeth can be made and fitted in a single visit, normally in about an hour.

So what is the treatment?

We scan the opposite teeth and the method the teeth bite together first. We eliminate the old filling, and degeneration and any thin weak tooth material and scan the readied tooth.

After this we quit working in the mouth and start working with the computer.

Everybody likes seeing the pictures of their teeth and the developing of their brand-new tooth. We make 3D design and this information is sent to the milling system.

Everybody asks if this is like 3D printing and yes it is, but the tooth is not built up layer by layer, it is cut from a block in the device, which is much stronger.

The block is then exactly carved to produce your new restoration, which is fantastic.

Finally, the customized crown restoration bonded flawlessly into the tooth, reinforcing and sealing it at the same time then we clean up!

We need to ensure that you can bite correctly, that its smooth and that you can floss.

Today We Will Be Going Over:

Porcelain Teeth Veneers

Veneers are a very thin pieces of long lasting, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a gorgeous and appealing smile.

Veneers can completely improve your teeth and smile. They can typically be alternatives to crowns and the perfect solution in treating lots of cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

As with a lot of dental restorations, veneers may one day require replacement; however, they are still very long lasting and will last multiple years, offering you a long lasting, beautiful smile.

How Are Veneers Placed?

Veneers are a dental procedure in which a covering is positioned over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are normally only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. The procedure can be direct or indirect.

The direct technique generally involves putting composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This approach is normally referred to as bonding.

The indirect method generally involves two appointments because the veneers will be made at a dental laboratory. At the first appointment the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are offered a temporary covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory made veneers are generally made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are extremely esthetic.

The benefit of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the treatment is typically less unpleasant. Veneers are not recommended for teeth that have large fillings or little tooth structure.

You will get care directions for your veneers. Correct brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will aid in the life of your brand-new and beautiful veneers.
