If you have a fractured or busted tooth, are experiencing pain when chewing or exposed to hot or cold temperatures, or want to eliminate unsightly metal crowns or fillings, then dental crowns might be a good option for you. Dental Crowns cover the outter surface area of the affected tooth, adding durability and stability to it.

Same-day dental crowns are an option that we offer on a case by case basis to patients who would benefit from the procedure. They allow clients to come to our office and leave within a couple hours with their permanent dental crown in place that same day. This gets rid of the need to have a short-term crown placed and then another appointment set up for the positioning of the permanent crown.

Our Same-Day Crowns are made with our new innovation that scans the mouth to obtain the proper measurements of your tooth and surrounding teeth, and then makes your crown right there in the office. These restorations are very strong and resilient and constructed out of the highest quality porcelain available. Sometimes, a gold crown might be advised for your posterior teeth (back teeth) if you grind or clinch your teeth a lot.

Gold crowns are different from porcelain crowns, and the cost may vary between the two and you may want to talk about your budget plan as well with the your dental practitioner. Your dentist will go over with you the types of crowns available and give you a recommendation based on your specific scenario.

Call us to schedule a complimentary cosmetic consultation. We look forward to meeting you.

Today's Topic Has To Do With:

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device designed to replace missing teeth. The device is normally constructed of titanium and is surgically placed into the jawbone where the teeth are missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and conventional bridges or dentures may not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some people, dental implants provide a smile that feels and look extremely natural. Surgically placed below the gums over a series of visits, implants fuse to the jawbone and function as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants offer stability because they connect to your bone, a process called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some people also find the secure fit is more comfy than traditional substitutes. Candidates for dental implants must have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

What Does A Dental Implant Involve?

A dental implant may be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this treatment, a little titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which additionally slows or stops the bone loss that takes place when the root of a natural tooth is missing. Once the implant is firmly set in the mouth, the dental practitioner then works to connect the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent solution has the advantages over bridge work that it does not need the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth wear out, another can simply be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be used as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an alternative to partial dentures, and has numerous benefits. First, there is no modification period to acclimatize the patient who, once the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no pain or problem in eating. And, best of all, of course, they do not have to be taken out all the time.
