Our practice likes new innovations, specifically when it enhances the dental care that we can supply to our patients. Because of this we now provide same day crowns.

Same day crowns are a terrific brand-new technology where beautiful all porcelain crowns are developed within two hours of the preparation of a tooth for a crown. The old process was where the dentist prepared your tooth for a crown, took an impression and sent this impression to a laboratory to have the crown constructed. Throughout this time the patient would need to wear a temporary plastic crown that was always uncomfy.

Today, our devices enables us to scan the tooth preparation and mill out a brand-new all porcelain crown within 2 hours. This means that the client leaves our practice with the permanent crown that day!

  • There is no need to wear a temporary crown for 2 or 3 weeks.

  • There's no need to return once more to have the one day crown placed on your tooth.

  • There is no need to be numbed once more! No more shot needles!

Our practice prefers same day crowns because it is made of lovely material and also extremely durable.

If your interested in a same day crown, please give our practice a call.

The Topic For Today Is:

Porcelain Veneers (Tooth)

Veneers are a very thin pieces of long lasting, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a gorgeous and appealing smile.

Veneers can completely reshape your teeth and smile. They can typically be alternatives to crowns and the ideal solution in treating lots of cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Similar to a lot of dental restorations, veneers might someday need replacement; however, they are still very long lasting and will last multiple years, providing you a long lasting, beautiful smile.

How Are Veneers Set?

Veneers are a dental procedure in which a covering is put over the outside (noticeable area) of the tooth. Veneers are typically only done to the part of the teeth that are seen when talking or smiling. The treatment can be direct or indirect.

The direct strategy typically involves placing composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This approach is normally referred to as bonding.

The indirect method normally involves two visits because the veneers will be produced at a dental laboratory. At the first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are given a temporary covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory produced veneers are generally made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very esthetic.

The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the treatment is typically less uncomfortable. Veneers are not recommended for teeth that have huge fillings or little tooth structure.

You will get care guidelines for your veneers. Proper brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will help in the life of your brand-new and gorgeous veneers.
