Single Visit Dental Crowns - A Smart Technology

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are taking place in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown innovation in our office. It permits us to create crowns and larger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most sophisticated dental technology, consisting of 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM innovation. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The entire procedure takes in between 1-2 hours and can be completed in one sitting.

Normally, a crown in the past would have required 2 visits. The very first visit consists of preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a short-term crown. Throughout the second visit, the temporary crown is replaced with the permanent one. With a same day crown, the whole procedure can be finished in simply one appointment. We will use video imaging technology to take a photo of the tooth and use CAD/CAM innovation to create the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly transmitted to a milling device that sculpts the restoration from a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the brand-new crown to your tooth. This removes the need to get a short-term along with a second appointment.

Corrective dentistry treatments can be very important to the general health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a consultation.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of locations needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used for a wide range of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

Today's Conversation Is About:

Dental Dentures

There are various types of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is big enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. Nobody enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk regularly.

The entire mouth is analyzed and a decision is made about which teeth will have to be removed, and which will stay. The loose teeth are then extracted. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending on the type. There is an adjustment period after dentures are positioned in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular functionality and look return and one simply continues as usual. Often implants can be used to further support the dentures.

It is necessary to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a significant lifestyle change when compared to natural teeth. Dentures impact the kind of food you have the ability to eat, your confidence in social situations, as well as your self-confidence.

Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the exact same arch

  • Restore chewing ability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper full denture will almost always feel much better than a lower complete denture. In order to significantly improve the fit of a lower full denture, we regularly recommend using dental implants as a retentive mechanism. Two dental implants placed in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and considerably enhance comfort. In some cases, the implants can even be placed in the jaw after a denture has actually been in use for a number of years.
