Why Opt For Same Day Dental Crowns?

There are many advantages of using same day crown over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one appointment, conserving you significant time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no need for a temporary crown, eliminating significant potential pain.

  • Aesthetic appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic products of same day crowns restore your teeth to their natural strength, charm, and function, and carefully match the composition of your natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is tougher than the standard technique of layering and pressing, so your smile will remain beautiful for many years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and innovation can also be used for fillings. Since these fillings are constructed out of porcelain, they are more resilient than white composite fillings.

The Discussion For Today Will Be:

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device designed to replace missing teeth. The device is generally made out of titanium and is surgically put into the jawbone where the tooth is missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and traditional bridges or dentures might not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some people, dental implants offer a smile that looks and feels very natural. Surgically placed below the gums over a series of visits, implants fuse to the jawbone and act as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants provide stability because they fuse to your bone, a process called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some people also find the secure fit is more comfortable than conventional replacements. Candidates for dental implants must have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

How Involving Is A Dental Implant?

A dental implant might be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this treatment, a small titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which additionally slows or stops the bone loss that happens when the root of a natural tooth is missing. When the implant is firmly set in the mouth, the dental practitioner then works to connect the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent option has the advantages over bridge work that it does not need the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth break, another can simply be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be used as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an alternative to partial dentures, and has a number of benefits. First, there is no adjustment period to acclimatize the patient who, when the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no discomfort or problem in eating. And, best of all, of course, they don't need to be taken out all the time.
