Same day crowns are a dental restoration device that allows a dental practitioner to produce an indirect ceramic dental restoration using computer-assisted technologies, including 3-D photography and CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing).

Same day crowns permits dentists the flexibility to fix teeth in a single sitting with a patient, instead of the numerous visits needed with other techniques!

Same day crowns have been proven by hundreds of clinical research studies and is provided by thousands of dental practitioners to countless patients worldwide each year!

Same day crowns not only conserves you money and time, it can also conserve your teeth!

Dental X-rays are unable to penetrate metal crowns, making any decay undetected till it was far too late.

Same day crowns use a strong porcelain that x-rays can penetrate. This means any degeneration underneath the restoration can be found and fixed before it becomes a big issue.

Since same day crown technology use a milling device to mill the ceramic into your custom-made restoration, the porcelain is stronger than those produced by hand. And, the computer-assisted technology can produce an nearly identical restoration of the previous tooth.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of areas requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used for a broad range of indications: onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers and inlays.

The Topic Of The Day Will Be:

Temporal Mandibular Joint

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint may be caused by a misalignment of the teeth, trauma, or excess muscle stress. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and five muscles are associated with the area. If something fails a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can trigger:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble or soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, sometimes extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can consist of replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling gaps between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Often a plastic mouth piece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the issue. If neglected and taken to extremes, surgery might be required to repair a terribly damaged joint.
