Same Day Crowns

Same day crown technology plays an important function in our practice. This amazing development in chair side dentistry offers us the tools to design, produce, and position crowns, inlays and onlays in a single appointment.

The Same Day Crown Difference

The conventional approach to a crown or inlay and onlay frequently required a return appointment after the patient waited (with a short-term restoration in the tooth) for about two weeks while the restoration was manufactured in a separate lab. Same day crown CAD/CAM innovation removes the wait!

How Do Same Day Crowns Work?

Same day crowns utilize a unique camera to take an precise picture of the damaged tooth. This optical impression is transferred and displayed on a color computer screen, where the dental practitioner uses CAD (computer-aided design) software to develop the restoration.

Then CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) takes over and automatically mills the restoration while the patient waits. Finally, the new restoration is bonded in place.

The whole process takes about one hour, and there are no bothersome temporaries or second visit required!

Proven Technology

With 20 years of clinical research study and more than 20 million restorations carried out worldwide, same day crowns have shown to be a an efficient, safe and practical innovation that we are delighted to offer to our patients.

Today's Topic Is:

Tooth Veneers (Porcelain)

Veneers are a really thin pieces of resilient, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a gorgeous and attractive smile.

Veneers can entirely improve your teeth and smile. They can commonly be alternatives to crowns and the perfect option in treating numerous cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Similar to many dental restorations, veneers might one day need replacement; however, they are still very long lasting and will last years, providing you a long lasting, lovely smile.

How Are Veneers Set?

Veneers are a dental treatment in which a covering is placed over the outside (noticeable area) of the tooth. Veneers are typically only done to the part of the teeth that are seen when talking or grinning. The treatment can be direct or indirect.

The direct strategy normally involves positioning composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This technique is generally referred to as bonding.

The indirect method normally involves 2 appointments because the veneers will be fabricated at a dental lab. At the very first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are given a temporary covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The lab made veneers are generally made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are extremely esthetic.

The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the procedure is usually less unpleasant. Veneers are not advised for teeth that have big fillings or little tooth structure.

You will get care guidelines for your veneers. Proper brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will help in the life of your brand-new and gorgeous veneers.
