Why Choose Same Day Crowns?

It is essential for a individual to have a strong and healthy set of teeth. Nevertheless, there are some cases where dental cavity development is inevitable. It is frequently caused by the individual's diet, habits and hygiene. Cavities that are not managed early may cause extensive damage to the tooth's enamel which might require a dental crown to restore its natural look and function.

A dental crown is a cap shaped like a tooth which is used to cover the tooth that has undergone substantial damage brought on by dental cavities. Getting it normally needs 2 dental appointments. During the very first appointment, your damaged tooth is cleaned up and the decayed part is eliminated. The dental practitioner will then get the impression of your tooth that needed the crown and will send it to a dental lab where traditional dental crowns were made. It could be made from a metal, ceramic or porcelain material. Only throughout the 2nd visit, your custom-fitted dental crown is cemented to your broken tooth.

With the improvement in dental innovation, the process of getting and wearing a dental crown has been made readily available. Dentists use the new technology in making inlays/onlays, crowns and veneers. After your broken tooth is prepared, they will use an intraoral camera that will take the picture of your broken tooth and have it uploaded to a computer. It will use a computer-aided design in taking the digital impression of your teeth and the impression is sent to the computer-aided manufacturing machine which will mill a color-matched ceramic block to your same day crowns. Picking a same day crown over a traditional dental crown has its advantages and downsides.

Today's Subject Will Be:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of the majority of clients, there are numerous ways to lighten teeth. The most popular method is using a home tooth bleaching system that will lighten teeth significantly. Since tooth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is necessary to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists use multiple approaches: customizeded tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory produces into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire procedure takes about a week of day-to-day use. Three different strengths of gel may be used, however, the greater the strength, the greater the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is suggested for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take a number of months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really fast and hassle-free lightening procedure. The visit is approximately one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our clients enjoy this treatment since it is so easy and fast!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays must be utilized every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
