Why Choose Single Day Dental Crowns?

There are many advantages of single visit crowns over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one appointment, saving you considerable time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no requirement for a short-term crown, which eliminates significant potential discomfort and inconvenience of a lost temporary restoration. Only one appointment means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was previously treated with a root canal. No traditional impressions which means there is no gagging.

  • Looks: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this brand-new innovation restores your teeth to their natural strength, appeal, and function and closely match the composition of natural tooth structure.

  • Durability: Milled ceramic is tougher than the standard method of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay gorgeous for multiple years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and innovation can also be used for fillings. Since they are made out of porcelain, they are more long lasting than white composite fillings. They are a lot more aesthetic than mercury containing silver fillings and stronger because of bonding technology.

If you have any more questions about same day crowns or porcelain crowns, please feel free to contact our office today. We will address any concerns you have and you can make an appointment to talk with our dentist in person.

The Topic Of The Day Will Be:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Discovering issues with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, pricey treatments or surgeries. X-rays are mainly used to discover:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have a number of advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The concern of direct exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Big on-screen X-rays make client communication more efficient. The immediate observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has significantly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It allows the patient and the doctor to see images of the teeth in greater resolution on a large format for easier detection of problems, all while decreasing the radiation exposure to the patient. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available quickly after exposure, eliminating the wait and effort spent developing and installing x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done immediately. Digital format also allows us to send out and receive your images digitally for consultation that can be provided to you rapidly.
