What Is So Great About Single Visit Dental Crowns?

In a common dental practice, receiving dental crowns is a long and often an uncomfortable procedure that can take a number of weeks to complete. However, our practice uses same day crown technology, which allows us to scan, design, and mill stunning tooth-colored crowns in one day.

Imagine coming into our dental office to receive a crown and leaving the same day with a strong, resilient, and aesthetically pleasing crown already in place. Call us today for more details!

The Same Day Crown Process

Throughout your visit, you and your dental practitioner will talk about the details of the treatment and your dental practitioner will answer any concerns you may have. Your dental practitioner will then apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special 3D imaging camera to take a photo of your tooth. Using the brand-new software, your restoration will be designed according to your tooth's appropriate form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to create your restoration from a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of areas requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

Today We Will Be Talking About:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the number one aesthetic concern of many clients, there are multiple methods to lighten teeth. The most popular method is using a home tooth whitening system that will lighten teeth considerably. Because tooth bleaching only works on natural tooth enamel, it is very important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the freshly bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize numerous approaches: customizeded tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the lab fabricates into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire process takes about a week of daily use. 3 different strengths of gel may be utilized, however, the greater the strength, the greater the likelihood of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray method is suggested for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take numerous months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very quick and practical lightening procedure. The visit is around one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients love this treatment since it is so easy and quick!

Tooth lightening is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays ought to be utilized every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
