What Are Single Day Dental Crowns?

It is a innovation for fixing damaged teeth, and this restoration can be completed in a single appointment at our office. It makes your teeth tougher and more gorgeous - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the top-quality ceramic material and works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Throughout your appointment, you and your dental practitioner will go over the details of the treatment and your dentist will address any concerns you might have regarding the procedure or porcelain crowns in general.

Your dental practitioner will then apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique 3D imaging camera to take a photo of your tooth. Using the brand-new proprietary software, your restoration will be designed according to your tooth's suitable shape and function.

Then, it will use a diamond burs to develop your restoration out of a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using advanced adhesive dentistry.

Today's Conversation Will Be About:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a procedure where we use a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be used in specific circumstances where a tooth has actually been damaged or ended up being stained. These are generally minor repairs, ones that can be resolved through this fairly inexpensive methods rather than through a more expensive dental procedure.

How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to fix damage done to the tooth by decay, to modify the positioning of the tooth, close gaps between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material sticks to the surface area. Then the material itself is positioned on the tooth and solidified with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to obtain a glossy finish as a last step.
