Single Visit Crowns In A Single Visit

If you select same day crowns, your experience will be rather different.
Instead of goopy impressions, our dental practitioner will apply a thin layer of reflective powder to your tooth and will take images of your tooth. Your brand-new crown is then made right here at our office from a piece of ceramic. There is no metal in your crown.

While your crown is being made, you are free to wait and enjoy our dental spa. You may choose to have other dental work done throughout this time.

After your ceramic crown is made, it is bonded to your tooth using cutting-edge adhesive dentistry. Done and done!

You do not need multiple trips. Simply one trip and you go home with your permanent crown! Now that should give you something to smile about!

If you have been thinking about a crown, talk with us about it today.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of areas requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used for a broad range of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

The Discussion For Today Will Be:

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device designed to replace missing teeth. The device is generally made out of titanium and is surgically placed into the jawbone where the tooth is missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and traditional bridges or dentures may not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some individuals, dental implants offer a smile that feels and look very natural. Surgically placed below the gums over a series of visits, implants fuse to the jawbone and function as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants offer stability because they connect to your bone, a procedure called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some people also find the secure fit is more comfortable than conventional alternatives. Candidates for dental implants must have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

How Involving Is A Dental Implant?

A dental implant might be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this procedure, a little titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which in addition slows or stops the bone loss that occurs when the root of a natural tooth is missing. Once the implant is securely embeded in the mouth, the dentist then works to connect the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent solution has the advantages over bridge work that it does not stress the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth break, another can simply be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be used as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an option to partial dentures, and has a number of benefits. First, there is no modification period to acclimatize the patient who, as soon as the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no discomfort or difficulty in eating. And, best of all, of course, they don't have to be taken out all the time.
