Same day crown restorations offer your tooth a natural match to the rest of your teeth, and can assist to reserve the healthy part of that tooth.

Why a single visit crown instead of a standard one?

Less time in the dental chair (Just one visit that lasts two hours) half the number of appointments, less anesthetics, less tooth structure is lost in most cases, we can make most of the preparations for these crowns without cutting away too much of your natural tooth.

When the design process begins, you are free to move about the office or perhaps have additional dentistry such as fillings. There is about a 20 minute time frame in the middle of the appointment where the crown unit is being produced.

Same day crowns are green (eco-friendly) and are efficient and saves you money. (Fewer materials used, & fewer visits mean fewer miles driven in your {car|vehicle).

Today We Will Be Discussing:

Temporal-Mandibular Joint

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Problems in this joint might be caused by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are associated with the area. If something fails a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, often extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling gaps in between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. In some cases a plastic mouth piece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the issue. If neglected and taken to extremes, surgery may be needed to fix a severely damaged joint.
