Same Day Crowns And Teeth Restorations

Do you have to get a dental crown? Or will you quickly be needing a dental procedure that will cause you to need a dental crown? If so, you may be starting to fear the time you will have to spend at the dental practitioner's office. At our dental practice, we offer a fantastic time-saving solution for you. We offer same day crowns at our practice!

At our practice we are proud to have professional and highly-trained dentists on staff. At our dental practice we include advanced innovations and treatments to provide our clients with the best restorative, precautionary, implant, and cosmetic dentistry care. For patients who have to get dental crowns, we are extremely delighted to be able to provide same day crowns.

Crowns and caps are 2 various names for the same thing. A dental crown is a restoration that is generally made from porcelain. It is a strong structure that is used to cover a tooth on all 4 sides to help strengthen the tooth and improve its function.

Crowns can also be used to connect bridges, as the top part of a dental implant, or to prevent a broken tooth from ending up being weaker. Crowns can also be used to enhance a tooth after a root canal procedure.

Crowns are also used for purely aesthetic reasons, such as to cover a severely tarnished tooth that needs to be brought back to its initial, appealing look.

Generally getting a dental crown is a lengthy procedure. The dental practitioner will need to take impressions, supply you with a temporary crown, await the crown to be returned from a lab, and then have you come back to the office so that it can be permanently connected. Today at our practice patients can get same day crowns in about two hours.

Our same day crowns are developed in our office thanks to our CAD-CAM innovation.

CAD-CAM represents "computer-aided-design-computer-aided-manufacture." Computers are used to take pictures which are then computer-analyzed and used to produce a crown.

This crown is really milled by a computer in our office. The crown will fit your mouth exactly and eliminate any need to send impressions or images to an outside laboratory.

All this is done while you wait, getting rid of the need to return for a second appointment.

You also will not have to get a crown, because our permanent crown will be immediately offered to you.

If you would like to consult with our dentist for more information about same day crowns or to get a same day crown, contact our practice.

The Conversation For Today Will Be:

Porcelain Veneers (Tooth)

Veneers are a very thin pieces of long lasting, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a lovely and attractive smile.

Veneers can completely reshape your teeth and smile. They can often be alternatives to crowns and the ideal solution in treating numerous cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Just like a lot of dental restorations, veneers may at some point need replacement; however, they are still really durable and will last multiple years, giving you a long lasting, stunning smile.

How Are Veneers Placed?

Veneers are a dental procedure where a covering is put over the outside (noticeable area) of the tooth. Veneers are normally only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. The procedure can be direct or indirect.

The direct strategy normally involves positioning composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This approach is generally referred to as bonding.

The indirect technique generally involves 2 visits because the veneers will be made at a dental lab. At the first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are offered a short-term covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory produced veneers are typically made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are extremely esthetic.

The benefit of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the procedure is normally less unpleasant. Veneers are not recommended for teeth that have big fillings or little tooth structure.

You will receive care guidelines for your veneers. Proper brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will aid in the life of your brand-new and stunning veneers.
