Why Are They Called Same Day Crowns?

This advanced technology permits your dental practitioner to take precise images of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and put a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single visit. Same day crowns provide exceptional benefits, value, and precision to our patients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown procedure includes three fundamental steps. 1st, your dentist uses 3D imaging to take extremely accurate images of your tooth and the surrounding structures. Second, they then download these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, develops your custom-fitted crown. Third, your dental practitioner will send the design to their in-office accuracy milling device which creates the crown out of a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for extra strength and esthetics, your dental practitioner will place it on your tooth.

What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

We only use dental porcelain and zirconia to create our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations provide unparalleled strength, resilience, chip and stain resistance, and natural appeal.

Precision-fitted same day crowns require less tooth prep work and protect more of your tooth structure.

Conventional crowns need two office appointments. With same day crowns, you can come to our dentist's office for an appointment and leave with a beautifully restored tooth.

You can avoid the inconvenience and possible threats related to ill-fitting temporary crowns.

Today's Topic Is:

Porcelain Tooth Veneers

Veneers are a really thin pieces of resilient, tooth shaped, porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a lovely and attractive smile.

Veneers can completely improve your teeth and smile. They can typically be alternatives to crowns and the perfect solution in treating many cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Just like a lot of dental restorations, veneers may at some point require replacement; however, they are still very resilient and will last multiple years, providing you a long lasting, lovely smile.

How Are Veneers Applied?

Veneers are a dental procedure in which a covering is put over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are typically only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. The procedure can be direct or indirect.

The direct technique typically involves putting composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This technique is normally referred to as bonding.

The indirect strategy normally involves two visits because the veneers will be fabricated at a dental lab. At the first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are provided a temporary covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory fabricated veneers are generally made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are extremely esthetic.

The benefit of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the procedure is generally less unpleasant. Veneers are not recommended for teeth that have huge fillings or little tooth structure.

You will receive care instructions for your veneers. Correct brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will help in the life of your new and gorgeous veneers.
